Finding my Way

This is a self-published memoir I wrote primarily for my daughters. It details key moments of my life that have led me to my understanding of the world. While the internal reflections are possibly the real value of this book, in these pages you go with me to Peru, India, Israel, all through Mexico, across the United States, and many other adventures. Stumbling into some spiritual practices helped me recover from some severe personal challenges. Eventually, I had to go beyond the cocoon of my spiritual community but my time with them (to continue with this metaphor) allowed me to develop wings with which I've soared to unimaginable heights. And those unimaginable heights weren't necessarily transcendent enlightenment so much as learning to be on this earth! After reaching for the heavens, I found great joy in raising a family, paying my mortgage, and being a largely ordinary person. I hope this book gives you greater appreciation for disenchantment and faith, as both have their value and place. I hope this book gives you greater courage to be your most authentic honest self. And I hope this book helps my daughters understand me better (and remind them how much I love them). Read more
