The RED XG-1290 is the workhorse among SRAMs X-RANGE™ cassettes and shifts not only fast, but also smoothly through its wide gear ratio range. The 12-speed cassette was developed specifically for the requirements of the electronic eTap AXS wireless shifting systems and offers the greatest possible weight savings through its elaborate, one-piece design. It works perfectly in conjunction with the Flattop® chain of the RED series and SRAM's eTap AXS front derailleur components.
Features of the SRAM RED XG-1290 cassette
- revised construction for smoother and faster shifting
- X-DOME™ design with a very lightweight sprocket set milled from a steel block
- progressive gear graduation (at least five gear jumps with only one tooth)
- small sprocket with 10 teeth to extend the gear range
- compatible with XDR freewheels
